Chukke

Chukke generates unique visual identification tags for marking individual insects in behavioural ecology research. Each tag is a 2x2 colour quadrant using base-4 encoding — four colours give 256 unique patterns, eight colours give 4,096.

Tags include orientation markers (corner notch and bottom line) so they can be read correctly in the field. Output is SVG for scalable, print-quality results. Supports standard paper sizes and custom dimensions.

The name means 'dot' or 'spot' in Kannada. Built as a standalone web app with no dependencies — fully offline-capable.
